About

We are a collaborative Augmented Reality (AR) company that is enabling the next-generation of AR and robotics. The co-founders met seven years ago as a group of entrepreneurial friends and have grown into a team of engineers and researchers from Oxford, Facebook, Google and Microsoft. We love building things and have a track of winning top programming competitions, research awards, and working on cutting-edge products in robotics, computer vision and self-driving cars.

Funded by GV (formerly Google Ventures), Accel, Horizon Ventures, SV Angel and others, we spent two years developing city-scale AR Cloud technology. Our mission is to empower developers to revolutionise how people interact with technology, environment and each other.

Peter Ondruska

CEO, Co-founder

Peter has a PhD in robotics from the Oxford Robotics Institute where he worked on machine learning and self-driving cars. He developed computer vision systems at Google, Microsoft Research, Facebook and MetaMind. He is a competitive programmer and won Bronze and Silver medals at the International Olympiad in Informatics.

Lukas Platinsky

CTO, Co-founder

Lukas did his Master's at Oxford and PhD in robot vision at Imperial College London working on Simultaneous Localisation and Mapping (SLAM) systems. He worked in startups and did research at Google on 3D model reconstruction from images.

Hugo Grimmett

COO, Co-founder

Hugo has a PhD in robotics from the Oxford Robotics Institute where he worked on self-driving cars and computer vision. He built maps for self-driving cars and devised machine learning methods for how they should behave in uncertain environments.

Bryan Baum

Co-founder

Bryan did his studies at Swarthmore College and Oxford in game theory. Afterwards he founded Prizeo (sold to Chideo) and Represent.com (sold to CustomInk for $100M).

Andrej Pancik

Co-founder

Andrej did his PhD at Oxford in Robotics and Harvard Business School PLD. He was a co-founder at Prizeo (sold to Chideo) and Represent.com (sold to CustomInk for $100M). Previously, he worked at Microsoft, CERN, and UBS.
